In the building maintenance industry, there are 4 categories of work:
Day-to-day repairs involves jobs that arise from time to time that happen periodically and sometimes at random. Examples include issues dealing with water supply, plumbing, hedges, lawns, plants, faulty switch repair, blown fuse replacement, water supply restoration, manholes, draining pipes. Things of this nature.
Annual repairs involves periodic work necessary to maintain the building’s aesthetic. These types of jobs typically require once-a-year attention. Examples include line and tank cleaning, painting, distempering, and white washing.
Special repairs involve issues dealing with the aging and deterioration of the building. Examples include any jobs that have to do with restoration.
Preventative maintenance Examples include jobs performed to avoid seepage, flooding, subsidence, insect infestations, fungi, pollution, part deterioration, and more. By performing a regular inspection, necessary preventative measures are determined.
